Day 1

Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Station to Gangtok (135 km - 5 hrs)

Our representative will welcome you warmly upon your arrival and assist you to the vehicle for the journey ahead. You'll be provided with all the relevant documents, such as hotel vouchers and itinerary. Throughout your journey, you can enjoy the versatility in climate, pass through magnificent views of mountains, valleys, village life, forests, waterfalls, and hills covered with tea gardens. Upon arrival at Gangtok, we'll assist you in checking into your hotel and taking rest.

Day 2

Day 2: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Start your day early with a heavy breakfast, and then head out for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Alt 12000ft/3600M), a high-altitude alpine lake close to the Indo-China border. The lake is considered sacred to the local people and remains frozen during winter. Enjoy playing in the snow and Yak ride. Proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (Hero of Nathula), an Indian soldier who was awarded the MahaVir Chakra medal for his bravery and known for doing his duty even after death. In the evening, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Optional tour to Nathula Pass (14140 Ft /): Excursion to Nathula Pass (Indo-China border) is available at an extra supplementary cost. It is controlled by the Indian Army and requires a minimum time of 72 hrs with proper documents to process. It requires 04 passport-sized photographs & photo proof identity cards such as Voter ID, Passport, or Driving license. Aadhar card/ Pan card is not accepted as ID proof by Sikkim tourism.

Day 3

Day 3: Transfer from Gangtok to Lachen (135 km - 6 hrs)

Early morning after breakfast, drive towards Lachen (9,000 ft), 135 kilometers, 5 - 6 hours drive. On the way, visit Chungthang (96 kilometers from Gangtok), which lies on the confluence of two hilly rivers Lachen and Lachung Chu and is the starting point of river Teesta. Upon arrival at Lachen, check into your hotel, and enjoy the evening strolling around the Lepcha village.

Day 4

Day 4: Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake & Transfer to Lachung

After breakfast, drive towards Thangu village (4100 m / 13450 ft), a remote village of Tibetans. Later proceed towards Chopta valley (4,000 m / 13124 ft) to view the breathtaking alpine valley of frozen rivers. From Chopta valley, Gurudongmar lake is around 30 km (5225m / 17143 ft), very close to the Tibet border. It is one of the highest and biggest freshwater lakes in Sikkim. Later return back to your hotel for lunch and then check out to proceed towards Lachung.

Day 5

Day 5: Yumthang Valley Excursion (11800 ft / 53 km - 1 hr)

Embark on an exciting excursion to Yumthang Valley after breakfast, located at an altitude of around 11800 feet. On the way, make a stop at the famous hot spring known for its medicinal properties to treat skin ailments. The Yumthang Valley is a paradise nestled amidst mountains where the tree line comes to an end. During the spring season, the valley explodes in a riot of colors with Rhododendrons, Primulae, and other Alpine flowers in full bloom. In contrast, the valley wears a somber look during the winter months, with snow-covered mountains enhancing its ethereal beauty. After an exciting day of exploration, return to your resort in Lachung for lunch and then head back to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Day 6

Day 6: Half-Day Sightseeing in Gangtok and Transfer to Darjeeling

Post a hearty breakfast, explore the famous attractions of Gangtok on a half-day sightseeing tour. The places covered on this tour include the Banjakhri Waterfalls, the Government Institute of Cottage Industry, the Orchid House Flower Show, the Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, and the Do-drul Chorten. Later, continue your journey to the picturesque town of Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 7

Day 7: Full-Day Sightseeing in Darjeeling

Get an early start to the day at around 3:30 am, and head towards the Tiger Hill sunrise point. This majestic point provides a breathtaking view of the sunrise with a panorama of colors, clouds, hills, snow-capped peaks, and the vast landscape of Darjeeling. After experiencing the mesmerizing sunrise, visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back to the hotel. Post breakfast, visit other famous tourist spots in Darjeeling such as the Darjeeling Zoo, Mountaineering Institute, Happy Valley Tea Estate, Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Center, Lebong Race Course, and the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. Spend the evening at leisure or explore the local area to witness the unique culture and lifestyle of the locals. Retire for the night in the comfort of your hotel.

Day 8

Day 8: Departure from Darjeeling

After a delicious breakfast, check-out from the hotel and head towards Bagdogra Airport / NJP station for your onward journey. Depart with fond memories of your trip to the majestic Himalayas and the unforgettable experiences it has bestowed upon you.
