Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, our representative will meet you and drive you to Phuentsholing, a commercial town on the border between India and Bhutan. Check-in at the hotel and complete the immigration formalities for entry into Bhutan. Spend the night at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, visit Kharbandi Gompa, a beautiful monastery nestled in a garden of tropical plants and flowers. Later, stop at Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan that now houses a school for religious and cultural studies. Check-in at the hotel and spend the night in Thimphu.
Explore Thimphu and visit the National Library, the Institute for Zorig Chusum, and the Textile and Folk Heritage Museum. After lunch, visit King's Memorial Chorten, a monument built in memory of Bhutan's third king. Then, browse through local crafts shops and visit the government-run Handicrafts Emporium. End the day with a visit to Trashichhoedzong, a fortress that serves as the centre of government and religion.
After breakfast, drive to Paro and visit Ta Dzong, a watchtower that now houses Bhutan's National Museum. Walk down the hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, an ancient fortress that houses the monastic body of Paro. Spend the night in Paro.
Embark on a day excursion to Chela La Pass, the highest motorable point in Bhutan, before driving back to Phuentsholing. Check-in at the hotel and spend the night.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
